The APK is a file with extension of .apk or combination of .apk and .obb files which are attached to the same container. You just need to install a regular .apk file and if you have .obb file also then after installing .apk file you need to place .obb file in installed APK folder.

XAPK is similar to APK but main change is XAPK contain .apk and .obb files in compressed Single file named .xapk. you need to use a third-party installer (XAPKS Installer) or simply unzip in Android device and then follow above question’s Answer.
